Haitian Disaster Relief

Here is your chance to make a difference and help out the people of Haiti.

On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. As a Stampin′ Up! customer, you can help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this earthquake by purchasing the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set.

From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set that is purchased, will be donated to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

I {Heart} Hearts – clear-mount (block D recommended) 118571 $18.95
I {Heart} Hearts – wood-mount 117010 $26.95

Click HERE to order your set today!

In addition to donating portions of the proceeds from the sale of a certain stamp set depending on each market, Stampin’ Up! bought some supplies for 5,000 hygiene kits. Click to see what else Shelli Gardner (CEO of Stampin' Up!) has to say about Stampin' Up! helping Haiti.

Ribbon Flower Tutorial

Hello again!! Remember this card that I made for my mother-in-law? Here is how I made that cute ribbon flower! On the card I used Stampin' Up!'s Satin Ribbon available in the Occasions Mini Catalog, but in this video tutorial I used 5/8th grosgrain ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

You asked for it!

And here it is!! :) First, I want to apologize for the poor video. I was dangerously close to working out of the filming area! I hope you can see everything ok. I was in a hurry to make it this evening because if it didn't get done tonight, I wouldn't have been able to do it until the end of the week... and I'm not sure if you guys would have been able to handle it! ;) I originally found other instructions that called for cutting out circles with scissors and hand stitching them together... so, I adapted the "recipe" to fit my needs. lol.

Flower Brooches

What a wonderful Sunday afternoon of crafting! :) Today, I made these beautiful flower brooches! What does that have to do with Stampin' Up!? They're made with Stampin' Up!'s Big Shot Dies!! Now I have to figure out which one I want to give my mother-in-law for her birthday! :)

Happy Birthday, Gail!

My mother-in-law's birthday is tomorrow and this is the card my husband and I will be sending her. The flower is made with ribbon! Pretty cute, huh? And it's super easy! I'm thinking of making a video tutorial on how to make them! Are you interested? :)

To make this card, I used Stampin Up!'s new clear mount stamps!! Remember, these stamps are NOT clear! They still are Stampin' Up!'s excellent quality rubber but, they're just mounted onto clear blocks!! Don't worry wood loving gals, we get BOTH to choose from!
